Solanas is a noise, breakcore, and gabber-tinged outlet for Abby Helasdottir of Gydja, with the addition of various vocalists. Solanas combines hard beats with screaming vocals and a willingness to use unhealthy frequencies and equally unhealthy subject matter.

Solanas appeared at Auckland University's Womensfest 2004, featuring Saphron and Amber on dual vocal duties. Some people had to step away from the stage, others had to leave the venue.
